On February 27, 2010 at 06:34 UTC, a 8.8 magnitude eaerthquake ocurred off the coast of the Maule Region of Chile. The earthquake most afffected the cities of Talcahuano, Arauco, Lota, Chiguayante, Cañete and San Antonio.
